I don’t know if these would be called a pizza, but I made what I called “pizza cookies” for my great-granddaughter for Easter, when she came for dinner yesterday. I baked the cookies and while they were still warm, pressed an edge like a pizza. Then I added edible Easter basket grass, that was blueberry flavored. Also on the picture of the Easter bunny pizza, there were 3 edible bunnies that came with the edible grass. If these “ pizza cookies”, can be called a pizza, they might be one of the smallest pizzas I have made. I placed the one really small “Easter pizza” cookie on a very small Ohio Art “Jack and Jill” plate, that is really small and old. I find old children's toys. dishes, pots and pans interesting. They aren't built anything like children's toys are today.
Trying to created memories from my past generations to instill on my great-granddaughter. There are five generations in our family that are still living. My mother also joined us for Easter dinner. My great-granddaughter did have fun playing with bubbles, too!
Easter dinner wouldn’t have been complete without some kind of pizza. :)
There are so many variables that go into making a PIZZA. The hydration of the dough, flour, yeast and many more.. Amounts of any kind of yeast in a pizza can make a big difference. Most recipes posted on the web, use too much yeast in their recipes. What I have found out so far, is either bulk fermenting the dough or cold fermenting the dough will give a better flavor in the crust. I am still experimenting to find different flavors in the crust of pies. In my opinion pizza is all about the best flavor you can achieve in a crust. I still am on the journey about flavors in the crust. Even differences in temperatures in you home or times of the year can influence how much yeast to use. If you want a pizza to develop flavors in the crust, there are many ways to go about achieving this.
